Perform. Create. Lounge.
A smoke-friendly cannabis social lounge in the making: a club in 2027, consumption when licensed.
Closes January 1, 2027
Founding members lock the launch price on any tier for 12 months after the club opens, get their name on the founders wall, and pick session and show slots first. Free to join; nothing is charged until we open.
Until the founding window closes at 12:00 AM ET on January 1, 2027.
Founding list and the room
Members, creators, performers and venue owners sign on. We choose the first room, sign the lease and close the opening budget.
The club opens
About 950 square feet: a 49-person event room with a stage, a lounge nook, an alcohol-free bar and eight desks by day. Shows, rentals, podcast and stream sessions on the stage, day passes and memberships from day one; a 1,500-square-foot mini-lounge on results. No cannabis inside: that waits for the license.
Town opts in, state license
The Commission expects its first social consumption licenses in early 2027; the club's town has to opt in first. Haverhill voted yes on November 3, 2026; Boston's ordinance is still in committee. Equity businesses only for 36 months.
Licensed lounge, then the full concept
The 1,500-square-foot mini-lounge converts: ventilated smoke room, non-smoking lounge, licensed counter, with the stage kept. Then it grows toward the 7,500-square-foot concept, where the dedicated studios arrive. Founding members first.
Walk the floor plan
Three plans, one concept. Start with the room that opens in 2027, then the 1,500-square-foot mini-lounge it grows into, then the full 7,500-square-foot lounge once licensed. Tap any zone.

Opening room, about 950 sq ft, drawn as 38 × 25 ft (25 × 38 fits the same plan): event room and stage 600, lounge nook 150, alcohol-free bar 80, entry and storage 120. Concept plan, not to scale; the lease and the building set the layout. Nothing cannabis inside before the license. Under 50 people: no place-of-assembly permit in Boston (the building's own occupancy and counsel to confirm).
From 950 to 7,500 square feet
Four stages, each taken on the results of the one before. The club opens small in 2027; the lounge waits for its town and its license. Pick a stage to see what is in the room.
Each card shows what the stage holds and the square feet it takes.
Occupancy math: about 9 sq ft per person standing, 15 seated, 32 per workstation. A room under 50 people avoids Boston's place-of-assembly permit (the building's own occupancy and counsel to confirm); 50 to 99 needs the permit, stamped exit plans and two exits. Comparable: the Summit Lounge in Worcester runs 1,700 sq ft with a capacity of 60.
Three ways in. One is free.
Walk-ins are welcome with a $15 day pass. Memberships buy access, space, and session time — priced against what Boston charges for coworking desks ($235 a month, median) and podcast studios ($50–200 an hour; our production sessions on the stage run $60). Perks marked "when licensed" or "from the mini-lounge" arrive with those stages; everything else is live on opening day.

Reserve your founding status
A $35 refundable deposit holds your tier at today's price and puts you first in line for session slots and show seats. It's credited to your first month when the club opens, and refunded automatically if we haven't opened by December 31, 2028. No cannabis is included in anything sold here — ever.
- What you're buying. A refundable deposit that reserves a founding membership at BEZ, a planned club and cannabis lounge that is not open and does not hold a cannabis license. Nothing else.
- What it does. Locks your tier at today's price for your first 12 months after the club opens, and puts you ahead of the public for session slots and show seats. The full deposit is applied to your first month's dues.
- Refunds. Full refund any time before we open — just email us. If BEZ hasn't opened by December 31, 2028 , your deposit is refunded automatically to the card or account you paid with.
- No cannabis, ever. Membership covers access, space, and services only. By Massachusetts law it never includes cannabis, discounts on cannabis, or free product. This deposit doesn't buy any product.
- Not an investment. A deposit gives you no ownership, profit share, or return. Deposits are held in a separate account until opening.
- 21+ only. Questions before you pay: BluntEmbarkmentz@gmail.com.

Why this can exist, and why now
Massachusetts reserved its first social consumption licenses for equity applicants for 36 months. Blunt Embarkmentz is a Social Equity Program participant and a two-time state equity grant recipient, which is what puts BEZ in line for a Hospitality license when its town opens the door. The club does not wait for that door: it opens first.
Regulations took effect January 2, 2026. The Commission expects its first licenses in early 2027, supplemental licenses for existing cannabis businesses first; hospitality application dates had not been set as of this fall. Towns have to opt in: Haverhill's voters said yes on November 3, 2026, Boston's ordinance has sat in committee since May, and no town had zoning in place by October. On the same ballot, voters rejected Question 8, which would have ended adult-use sales. So the licensed lounge is realistically 2028 or later, and the club opens in 2027 without it. That's the honest timeline, and it's why the founding list matters: the operators and venues ready during the wait are the ones that open first.
