Eligibility Requirements

ONLY 1 must apply

  • Resided in a Disproportionately Impacted Area (DIA) Area with high cannabis arrest rates per capita for 5 of the last 10 years

  • Household income below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level

  • Arrested for cannabis-related offenses in Massachusetts

  • Parent or spouse arrested for cannabis-related offenses

Program Overview

The FY25 Social Equity Grant Program distributed $26.5M to 181 equity businesses. These grants are designed to support entrepreneurs from communities disproportionately impacted by cannabis prohibition.

Key Requirements

  • Majority ownership by EEP/SEP participants
  • Business must be located in Massachusetts
  • Compliance with all CCC regulations
  • Commitment to community reinvestment

Tier 1 Pre-licensed $25,000
Tier 2 Licensed, not yet operational $50,000
